Welcome to Charleston Dance Center
Charleston Dance Center, located in Charleston, South Carolina, is the perfect place for young dancers to take their very first class and for competitive dancers to improve their technique while competing at the national level. Charleston Dance Center staff is committed to age-appropriate, technical training in a supportive environment.
Who We Are
Charleston Dance Center was founded in 1999 by Barbara Campbell Wade and her daughters Buffi Wade and Kim Wade Roberts. Buffi started teaching dance at age 16 and it was her lifelong dream to own a studio. Barbara, affectionately known as “Gaga,” and Kim jumped on board to make Buffi’s dream a reality. In 2016, after teaching at the studio for eight years, Lindsey Gentry was made a partner of Charleston Dance Center.
As a family-owned studio, we will always put family first and we treat every dancer as part of our family. Dance is just a fraction of what our students learn through classes and our company teams. They are learning responsibility, dedication, and building confidence. Most importantly, we’re teaching them to learn from their mistakes and how to recover from a misstep.
What We Do
