8 years old
What motivated you to become a dance instructor?
My love for dance, this studio, and watching the kids grow.
What are your favorite dance techniques or exercises to help students improve their skills and performance quality?
Strength training – to add power to their performance, but also the strength and stamina to execute their movement and tricks to the fullest
What is your proudest moment as a dance instructor?
The Year End Performance brings tears to my eyes, every year – the kids always awe me with how talented they truly are!
If you could only dance to one song for the rest of your life, which song would it be, and why?
Ooohh, that’s a really tough one!
What’s the most memorable dance performance you’ve ever seen?
Watching Brigham Young University (BYU) at NDA Nationals – they are UNREAL!!!
If you could dance alongside any famous dancer, past or present, who would you choose, and what style of dance would you perform together?
I’d throw down in some hip hop with Beyonce or Pitbull
If you had to choose a superpower – what would it be, and how would you use it as a dancer and/or teacher?
I’d love to read the students’ minds
What is one piece of advice for your students as we begin the new year?
Fuel your bodies with GOOD food and drink a lot of water. You burn so many calories as a dancer especially with how much work they put into the studio. We want you guys to stay healthy!
Why are you excited for the 2023-2024 season?
I am excited to watch kids gain more confidence, learn new things, and most importantly GROW as not just dancers, but people!
