Vanessa teaches Together in Motion, all preschool (Preschool I, Preschool II, Preschool III) and pre-program classes (Pre-Ballet, Pre-Jazz/Tap, Pre-Hip Hop, Pre-Tumbling).
She is also co-director of Just Dance! Collective, Mini Mini Team and Tiny Tots.
How old were you when you started dancing?
6 years old
What motivated you to become a dance instructor?
I love working with children
What are your favorite dance techniques or exercises to help students improve their skills and performance quality?
I enjoy exercises that work not only your body but your mind as well while having fun as you are learning.
What is your proudest moment as a dance instructor?
I am so proud every single year, when I see my kids on stage giving it all they got!
What’s the most memorable dance performance you’ve ever seen?
Watching my very first Broadway Show: Damn Yankees…I was in awe!
If you could dance alongside any famous dancer, past or present, who would you choose, and what style of dance would you perform together?
Gene Kelly & Tap of course!!
If you had to choose a superpower – what would it be, and how would you use it as a dancer and/or teacher?
Teleportation. I hate being in any kind of vehicle for long periods of time. It would help me get to the studio, competitions, and events faster!
What is one piece of advice for your students as we begin the new year?
Try your best and work hard…if you do those two things results will happen.
Why are you excited for the 2023-2024 season?
I’m always excited to see the old faces returning and meet the new ones that will become part of our incredible dance family!
