A Nationally Awarded Competitive Dance Team
Our Company dancers, ages 5–18, represent the highest level of training, performance, and competition at Charleston Dance Center — and among the best in Charleston. Through an audition process, Minis, Petites, Juniors, and Seniors earn their place on this prestigious team.
Company dancers travel throughout the Southeast, attending conventions and competitions designed to challenge and inspire, including nationally recognized events such as The Dance Awards, National Dance Honors, and the NYCDA National Season Finals in New York City.
Note: The Company often dances with the Collective Team, creating a strong and unified community.
Our Dance Teams
Mini Team
Mini team dancers are typically 6 to 10 years old, with an average age of 8. Placement considers age, but also height, ability, maturity, and team composition.
Petite Team
The Just Dance! Petite Company, selected by audition, averages 10 years old, with dancers typically 8-12. Placement considers age, height, ability, maturity, and team composition.
Junior Team
The Just Dance! Junior Company, selected by audition, averages 12 years old, with dancers typically 10-14. Placement considers age, height, ability, maturity, and team composition.
Senior Team
The Just Dance! Senior Company, selected by audition, averages 14 years old, with dancers typically 13-17. Placement considers age, height, ability, maturity, and team composition.
Just Dance! Company Team Requirements & Expectations
Competitive dance requires the highest level of commitment from both the dancer and parent. Company dancers may need to prioritize dance above other extracurricular activities. Members may not enroll in dance at another studio or participate in outside dance events without prior permission from Just Dance! Company directors.
